An Exhaled Breath Sampler Based on Condensational Growth and Cyclone Centrifugation (BSCC)

An exhaled breath sampler based on condensational growth and cyclone centrifugation (BSCC) was developed evaluated. The BSCC increases the size of aerosols through then collects them as liquid sample via centrifugation. This enables rapid collection eliminates certain pre-treatment steps for pathogenic microorganism analysis. Laboratory-generated were mixed with saturated water vapor to simulate breath, efficiency virus infectivity conservation approximately 66.7% 100 nm increased nearly 100% 3 µm aerosols.
